I am an undergraduate research assistant at CLEF Lab, studying Cell Biology and Neuroscience, and I am interested in pursuing a career in medicine. I am keen on learning about the epigenetics mechanisms of auditory processing, and how it relates with neurodegenerative diseases, as well as personalized medicine and how individualized approaches to diagnosis and treatment can improve patient outcomes.
Outside the lab, I serve as the Cultural Chair for RU-APAMSA (Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association), where I work to bring together students and professionals across the pre-health and healthcare world. Through cultural and community-building initiatives, I strive to foster a collaborative environment as we pursue opportunities for learning and growing within healthcare.
To me, sound, especially through the medium of music, is one of the most powerful ways to connect people across different communities. The picture above is me connecting with some of the children of the communities.
